What can you achieve in 6 months?

I've been working hard both at the gym and also at the business I'm directing for the past 6 months.

It's funny because some days I wake up with no motivation, feeling like crap and wanting to curl up. But every day I just get on with it.

Sometimes at the gym I have no energy to put into my workout, but i still give it a really good go anyway. It hurts, I feel the pain, I get on with it.

Back in September 2008 my business partner Chris and I decided to bring our skill sets (mainly in website development) together and work as a team.

At the same time I saw a fitness trainer and started a new programme at the gym and stuck at it.

I haven't really looked back ever since. I'm starting to notice some fantastic improvements and developments:

  • The business has gone from a 'bedroom job' to having its own office premises
  • We've learned different methods of finding new clients and leads and the best ways of converting them
  • At the gym I'm making great progress; all my weights are going up and my fitness levels have shot up too

What's really helped is the little things that all add up. Going to the gym everyday, even on mornings when I feel crap. Going to work even when I feel like I can't face the world.

Then suddenly you look back and realise just how much progress has really been made.

It's all about staying motivated. Find what you enjoy, what you want to succeed at and really go for it. Give it 110%.

On the days when you really can't be bothered; you must push yourself. It's at times when you feel like giving up that are most important. On these days you really must push yourself. If it hurts, if it's painful; you're doing the right thing.

I hope you have a good weekend, maybe spend some time thinking about your goals and what you want to achieve over the next 6 months?

See you Monday at 09:00

Simon
