Super Affiliate Handbook Review
Do you want to become a super affiliate and make tonnes of cash online?
I recently read the book "The Super Affiliate Handbook: How I Made $436,797 In One Year Selling Other People's Stuff Online".
I found the book while I was researching affiliate products. In my naive state of mind I wanted a complete idiot’s guide to affiliate marketing! A blueprint – as it were.
So I came across Rosalind Gardner’s book and sat down for a good few hours and gave it a thorough read. The book certainly isn’t brief at 277 pages!
Let me just give you my brief background; I’ve been in the website development industry for 7+ years and I’m currently joint director of a website development company.
But there’s one thing I really want to learn; it’s how to sell online.
Rosalind covers literally every aspect of affiliate marketing very well and three chapters stuck out to me; “Domain Issues”, “Plan Your Website” and “Build Your Site”.
Most books that give a “so called” guide to domain names and websites are usually complete nonsense or staggeringly out-of-date. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rosalind really hit the nail on the head.
The chapter “Plan Your Website” is 100% accurate and very similar (but just a lot more brief) to how we plan very large and expensive websites for our clients. I highly recommend anyone even thinking about starting their own website to thoroughly read this chapter since it will save you so much valuable time.
Back in my early days I never used to plan the website that I built; instead I would dive straight in to the fun stuff! The result? I never actually finished the website – under construction pages and generally very frustrating content to the visitors – never to return again!
The chapter on website design is also very interesting to read. Rosalind recommends four options for building a website; do it yourself, pre-made website templates, website package or to hire a website developer.
Rosalind then goes on to explain the benefits and drawbacks of each option. If you do decide to make the website yourself there’s then a very good chapter explaining all the different software to help produce your website. This chapter is really interesting since she mentions basic software for complete newbie’s and also explains the professional industry standard software; the Adobe suite (although the book does show it’s age by referring to it as Macromedia Studio MX – released in 2002).
Moving away from the website development side of things.
One thing I did notice about the book is that it’s almost like reading an advertisement. Every product that’s reviewed is an affiliate link. Although to be fair that is the idea of the book!
Do you want to sell as an affiliate?
A chapter that Rosalind has covered really well is how do you know what is profitable to sell without too much competition?
This is where I started to focus my full attention.
There’s a 40 page chapter that describes in intricate detail how to research a profitable idea; finding a profitable subject that has a high demand yet fairly low competition – or competition that could be broken into.
Once you’ve discovered a good topic the 30 page chapter on finding a good product to sell will surely set you on your way to finding the product for your chosen profitable topic.
But what if you’re still not sure on which product to sell?
Over 30 pages on the chapter “How to choose Products and Programs” contains true wealth of information.
Conclusion
Personally I found this book extremely valuable to me.
It’s not just the advice and information that Rosalind goes into, it’s also the resources that she shares; the websites that are recommended in the book are all very helpful and related.
If you want to learn how to become a “super affiliate” – that is someone in the top 2% of affiliate marketers that actually make serious money selling affiliate products – then this book will teach you what you need to know.
But, if you’re looking to get rich over night selling affiliate products I would seriously recommend you start changing the way you think.

Take care and thanks for reading
