Give Yourself Something To Look Forward To

I've come into the office this morning quite excited!

Over the weekend I've been building a Customer Relations Manager (CRM).

Recently we've been managing a lot of work for different clients and it's starting to become a bit tricky to remember all the deadlines. Also we sometimes forget what we've quoted leads which leaves us in an embarrassing position!

So having tried some open source CRMs I decided we needed something specific. Something that's laid out just for our business to boost our work flow and productivity.

I spent most of Saturday and Sunday working hard in the office designing the software, then writing the programming code for it. I used Adobe Fireworks to design the interface for the web application, and Zend Studio to program the PHP, with a touch of Dreamweaver for the HTML and CSS!

Monday is 'marketing day' for Design Buds. So today we can start adding new leads and clients into the database to give it a real road test!

Also, at the gym my coach has given me a new way of doing my sets. 5 sets of: 15 reps, 12 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps, 15 reps. With just 30 second rest breaks between sets.

I've got to admit it really does require more strength and the level of pain rocketed too!

But above all; I really love it!

It's great waking up on a Monday morning having something to look forward to! You get a fantastic buzz for the day and actually want to get out of bed!

I'm hoping to really push myself over the comming weeks and months. At the gym I want to really push the weights up, and for the business I want us to gain some good clients and acquire new skills.

So my top tip for the day is to always give yourself something to look forward to. Whether it be a holiday, going out somewhere nice, or a new challenge in your life that you can overcome.

Waking up to the 'same-old' every day can become incredibly tiresome and repetitive. So do something about it! Give yourself a challenge, do something different.

Look forward to tomorrow and be excited about the day ahead.

See you tomorrow at 09:00

Simon
