My top business tip today is to make contacts.
I know it sounds really obvious and it is! Meeting people and creating a list of contacts (or "networking") does so many things for your business.
You'll meet new people that you can call upon if you need their services, and vice-versa.
Also, if you work really hard at these relationships you'll gain the most important thing; trust.
If you establish trust in a relationship your services or products will sell.
I found something out recently:
2% of sales are made on the first contact
3% of sales are made on the second contact
5% of sales are made on the third contact
10% of sales are made on the fourth contact
80% of sales are made on the fifth contact
It's a shocking statistic that 80% of sales are made on the fifth contact. That means you must put the effort in from day one.
If you meet someone or even call someone don't immediately sell your services. Get to know them. Form a relationship with them, gain their trust. Before you know it they'll be asking for your trusted services.
That's my number one goal at the moment. To network. Form new relationships, meet new people, share services.
Also, over the next few days and weeks I plan to unleash my technical knowledge!
